Rohit Sawant’s fiction has been featured in various publications, most recently in the anthologies On Fire, Down with the Fallen and Sherlock Holmes: Adventures in the Realms of H.G. Wells.
Growing up, he consumed a diet of comic books, films but read novels sparingly, and only fell in love with books in his late teens when he picked up Four past Midnight by Stephen King and has been hooked on reading since.
Despite being a late-blooming bookworm, he was always drawn to storytelling. His first attempt at fiction was a whodunit scribbled in a school notebook after watching Alfred Hitchcock Presents with his cousins when he was eight. He showed it to his teacher. He remembers little except her initial interest turning to mild alarm as she read it. That was a good day.
After getting a bachelor’s degree in Animation and Computer graphics, he worked as a CG artist on animated features at Prana Studios, Inc.
Presently, he lives in Mumbai, India and works as a freelance artist and writer. He enjoys sketching, films, and his favorite Batman is Kevin Conroy.
